Gallery Creative Prague

The Gallery has been operating in its current operation and dramaturgy since 2022. It focuses on art presentations linked to the most current events in society and on the art scene. It is a creative and experimental space for presentations of art school students as well as a place for exhibitions of senior women and also a place that offers a place to express the pressing problems of society.

Creative Prague Gallery is located on the ground floor of the building at the address Staroměstské náměstí 4/1 in Prague 1.

Exhibitions

The Gallery has hosted a number of major exhibitions that dealt with various aspects of human experience, social problems and artistic expression. Among the most prominent exhibitions are:

  • Lost Europe
    Karel Cudlin, Jan Dobrovsky and Martin Wágner (400 ASA)
    Mar 10 — Jun 20, 2022
    This exhibition, based on the publication 400 ASA, presented almost 150 black and white documentary photographs by Ukrainian authors that depict the dramatic history of Ukraine. Proceeds from the sale of the publication were donated to humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.

  • Butterflies
    Tatiana Halska-Vialtseva and Karel Cudlin

    An exhibition of photographs and children's drawings of Ukrainian children expressing hope for a better future in the context of Russian aggression.

  • FUD Embassya
    Students of the Faculty of Art and Design of UJEP
    Sep 25 — Dec 31, 2022
    Presentation of student projects that seek to actively connect art with the real world and stimulate interest in the faculty.

  • Terrarium
    Studio of New Aesthetics, FAMU
    Jan 20 — Jun 30, 2023
    An interdisciplinary project focused on contemporary crises and identity, involving regular meetings and presentations.

  • Re-Connect Art Festival
    15 Jul — 15 Aug 2023
    International festival focused on performance and multimedia, with interactive installations and discussions.

  • Views with memory, A dozen
    Elpida
    September 20 — December 20, 2023
    Senior projects that reflect on their experiences and memories through illustrations, photographs and poems.

  • Ukraine: War and Resistance
    J. T. Blatt and others
    February 12 — March 30, 2024
    An exhibition of photographs documenting the effects of Russian aggression on Ukraine. The photo exhibition Ukraine: War and Resistance is a traveling project of Fulbright's academic exchange program in Ukraine and the Institute of International Education in the Kiev office, created in collaboration with various co-organizers in the U.S. and Europe.

  • A job and then a pension?
    Elpida
    May 5 — May 29, 2024
    Through this exhibition, seniors from the Elpida Educational and Cultural Center share a varied palette of their own experiences. In their paintings and texts, they reflect both memories of work and the realities of contemporary retirement life.

  • Kafkaesque Prague
    June 3 — July 7, 2024
    An interactive project connecting Kafka and Prague, focused on education and entertainment.

  • Water and Fire/Elements for Cleaning/Joy and Sadness - Vanda Babická, Jana Najbrtová, Daniela Peterová, Věra Vágnerová, Ludmila Vondrková (Elpida)
    October 7 — November 20, 2024
    At the same time, in the KP Gallery it is possible to see works by clients of the Elpida senior organization, which both visually and literally respond directly to specific elements of the surrounding outdoor space and at the same time deal with the theme of the Vltava River. Thus, their works create a dialogue between art, nature and society.
